Does it happen every time, or just sometimes?

I've had this happen on a rare occasion and it seems to be much more associated with the pumps they use than it does our cars (I mean it's obviously not a common problem in general, otherwise it would be posted more often). Perhaps try different pump stations and see if it's isolated to a particular station or not.

O its alllllll the time that it happens, at all the pumps. I cant remember the last time it went with out cutting out, so its not the stations, and like when i wait a couple seconds and go again it goes for longer befote cutting out, its like the gas gets trapped in a section and i have to wait before it all goes down again. Weird issue, i tried a fuel injector but no help,

I have this problem every so often - I just back the filler out just a bit and it seems to work fine.

i have 3 gas stations within 2 miles of where i live and this happens at one of them to me. I just have to deal with holding the pump at half to keep it steady or it will cut off. but for the most part i try to avoid that station anyway cause of the crappy ethanol... YUCK!!

It could be a blocked vent line causing back pressure.
