Hello,

I 'd like to confirm something I read sometime ago in one of the posts and cant find again!

My trunk lights, the 2 lights in the trunk, stay on after I close the lid and the lid is latched. I confirmed with VAG that they stay on and alert , it kills the battery eventually if i dont startup the car for a couple of days.

The question is how to fix this? Is it the latch mechanism the contains the sensor that detects the lid position? do i have to buy the whole latch mechanism or can i order the specific part? Anyone has repaired that or had a similar issue? please let me know of how or part number etc
