trunk will not lock with the remote
 

here's the thing, the only way that i can lock my trunk is if lock it with the key. the remote doesnt do it. it's try and paint the picture for those who are reading.

the remote will lock and unlock all of the doors, but when it comes to the trunk, it will only unlock it, but it will not lock it. does anyone have an idea on what the problem might be?

Can you hear it trying to lock it? Sounds like the solenoid which handles the locking function may be bad.

Trunk latch like Costner said, they malfunction all the time, when you take off the lid trim just make sure the cable that opens the trunk is actually connected to the trunk latch solenoid.

If the trunk has been locked with the key and turned all the way to the right, it will disablepewer lock/unlock feature. Unlock the trunk with your key and it should renable your remote and interior switch for the trunk. It's a feature to keep valets from accessing your trunk without a master key. I'm thinking that it's a problem with this feature that is keeping you from locking the trunk.
