I am looking to buy a 2006 A6 4.2. I want to get it fully loaded with some of the custom order options. I understand that dealers are not allowed to stock cars with these options and therefore it will be a custom order from the factory. If this is true about how long will it take from ordering to delivery at the dealership. Also any comments on what I should watch for, stay away from would be nice. I purchased a fully loaded 05 4.2. It took about 10 weeks to be delivered. The voice recognition is a must with a cell phone. I like the solar sunroof and the rear window shades for keeping the car cooler in the summer. I like the heated stearing wheel in the winter for keeping my hands warm. The kids love the seat warmers in the back and the dvd/playstaion in the rear headrests. The safety of the rear airbags is a plus. You may want to drive the car with the 18" wheels before ordering them, the ride is a little rougher than with the standard 17s. Good luck.
