Default Used '00 2.7T price and reliability

I am new to Audi's. I am looking at a 2000 2.7t 52k mi, leather, sunroof, htd seats automatic. Priced at $15,900 1 owner reg services with timing belt replaced and a set of snow tires. Private party sale.

Two questions:

* Does this sound like a good price? KBB prices would say it is but Edmunds shows a much lower price.
* Is the 2.7T a reliable car? I am not expecting it to be a Honda but will there but a lot of little/big things that make me wish I bought an Acura?

Thanks.

Ignore KBB - NADA numbers are more accurate. Sounds like a decent price; make sure you have a pre-purchase inspection performed by source you deem reliable. Pull OBD II codes and check CARFAX - do your due diligence. The 2000 A6 2.7TQ is an excellent platform and will serve you well if you are diligent about your maintenance. It has a few quirks, which you will find references to easily by searching forums such as this, but its performance and capabilities are far in excess of many cars purportedly in the same class. I own one and have 76,000 miles on it without incident. Maintenance is by-the-book or better and, outside of replenishables like brake components and timing system parts, I've replaced a control arm and a CV boot and not much else. If an Audi is what you want, nothing else will do!

I have a 2000 A6, 2.7. Good car here, had to replace upper control arms. Throttlle body boot. Timing belt done at 60k. Car has 100K on it now.

Am in Canada. Can't offer advice on price. Paid $17K CND for mine 6 months ago, was lower cause of higher mileage.

Well this points to the idea that you live in the South or MAYBE East coast. I noticed that in the South they use the NADA book...but on the West Coast, MidWest, they use Kelley Blue Book. Dont ignore KBB, NADA is not more respected...they are both pretty close in pricing anyways. In CA we dont even have NADA books to look at. No banks look at them...only KBB. Just FYI
