Used Audi already in shop... advice please
Hi all.
I just bought a 2003 A6 2.7T fully loaded. Its a beautiful car and the nicest car I have ever owned. I paid $22,700 for it with just under 60K miles. But 27 days later the check engine light went on. The Chevy dealer where I bought it from sent it to Sonnen Audi to see what is wrong with it. Right now, on the 3rd day in the shop they have the tranny apart trying to find out whats wrong with it. It didnt seem to do anything wierd before I sent it in to the shop. As of right now that work is being covered under the 90 day/3000K miles warranty.
What do guys think?
Im thinkin off selling it when I get it back because this is a can of worms.
Any words of wisdom, some helpful insight?
Thanks
Nick

I don't think I'd give in just yet. I have an 00 2.7T. It was a one owner car when I bought it at 19,000 miles. The car has been spectacular. My only repair that I call major was replacing the timing belt, which is something you should be thinking about also.
I've done some simple mods and the car is a rocket. I want to do some more stuff to it, I am not sure where to go yet, bigger turbos. etc???
Hang in there buddy, I have a feeling you 2 will be happy together!
OOOO

trannies are quite good and the torque converter is probably an excuse to drain the warranty of $$$$ ( they don't know so they invent problems ) common practice at the Audi dealers

Yes I love my Audi, I really do. Even if I were to ditch it, I dont know what other car I would want to get. I dont want the bmw, merc, acura, lexus ect. The only other car that I really liked was the Mazda Speed6 ... but the front looks like it was designed by a TONKA toy designer. Oh well. Heres a pic of my Audi.
