Vacuum Hosing Replacment: A6 2000 2.8
I need to replace my black, green and blue cloth covered vacuum hosing. I was unable to find a vacuum line schematic in my repair manual specific to the C5 A6 non-turbo but did find relevant information on the topic relating to other model.
Does anyone know the specific size requirements for the tubing?
What material should I go with: the cloth OEM issue, rubber or silicone? I would prefer something that lasts and will pay more to ensure that I won't have to perform the repair again soon.
Also, can I re-rout the hosing? The organization of the tubing lines between the Fuel Pressure Regulator, Intake manifold tuning valve and secondary air injection solenoid valve makes no sense visually. I just want to make sure I don't cause damage by using my best judgment in routing.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

3.5 mm Internal Diameter apparently. Went with some Platinum Cured silicone lines as it is very good silicone. With the platinum cure you get fewer flaws, greater pliability and greater strength than you do out of silicone created via standard curing.
Sort of worried about the the line fittings. You definitely won't get the benefit of rubber elasticity at the connection point. Zip tie or Clamp? Any idea as to where I might fight connection fasteners?
