I'm trying to read codes with a VAG-COM (it's a cheaper one, so, could be that) to diagnose some A/C issues on my 2002 Audi A6 C5, but when it attempts to connect via KWP 2000 protocol, it fails. DLC fuses look fine. Any ideas?

 

The K-Line is reading 10.2V with the ignition on, via multimeter. Don't know if that indicates a short or not, since it's under 12V.
