Nice Wheels...I would go with 235/35/19.

Default RE: Velocity Motoring Rims

I put the Velocities on my car last summer and they're fine. However, I swap them off for the OEM wheels for the winter. Read through the other posts and you'll see lots of discussion of Hartmann's vs Velocities: made in Europe vs China. IMHO, most wheels are being made in eastern Europe which is technologically the same as China (compare Slovakia to China). My OEM wheels were made in Poland. The price difference: $900-1000 for Hartmann's vs $700 for Velocity.

Maybe you get what you pay for. Ping me in a couple more years and I'll let you know how they held up.

Default Go with Velocity

I am about to sell of my Hartmanns, because the finish went south in 12-18 months. I am willing to go with the new V708's from Velocity. Their new design is much more accurate to the OEM RS4's. Their website says the new ones quality wise are superior to the old ones.

IMO - Hartmanns blow, including their customer service.

Good Luck!!

Very happy with Hartmann. Cost a little more than Velocity, but worth it.

VMR is a great company with a HUGE rep in So Cal (local).

One of the Audi dealers (Penske in West Covina, CA) also sold VMR wheels in their showroom IIRC

Update on my Velocities. I did not run them at all summer '08 as I stored the A6. However, when I detailed the rims I found a few little flecks of finish had fallen off between the spokes. I also notice a metallic tinking sound at low turning speeds which makes me think the rims are flexing. Maybe that's why there is some flaking.

Do a search for rims on this forum as there was a recent post about another company, besides Hartmann, making RS4 replica rims and the price was real attractive.
