Default Voice Recognition

Question: I bought a 2005 Audi, and was under the impression that I was getting all options. The one option that was not inlcuded was the voice recogintion (basically, a $350.00 option which I would have included if I had the opportunity). By nt having this, I believe it will effect my bluetooth phone service, and I would like to have it nonetheless. Is it possible to have it installed at the dealer and if so, do you believe they would charge me a inordinate amount?

right now the bluetooth system only adapts to 2 phones right now the Audi V60 motorola or the Sony Ericsson T600 series both ofb these phones are older than dirt now and no one has them anymore so you need to wait till Audi comes out with some new adaption kits for newer phones for these and trust me complaints have been made already to head office about this

Matt1474,

Since you got all the options except the voice reognition, tell me what you think of the solar paneled sunroof.

Anybody know if you can add voice recognition? I asked a service manager who talked to a mechanic and he gave the answer " different module and you don't have the right fiber optic connections". Sounds like BS. The button is there on the steering wheel, there is a microphone, so you'd think it would be possible...

I asked the same question of my local dealer and was told it will cost $4,000 Canadian to retrofit the $500 Canadian voice factory option. I heard similar words about connections and taking a lot of the car apart.

Wow, unbelievable. I also asked about adding in the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System) sensors and was told no. On my vette you could add sensors to a car that didn't come with it and make the computer learn (find) the sensors. German engineers... Of course voice should have been part of the NAV package...

The Solar panel sunroof only powers the blower motor to keep the interior cooler when it sits in the sun.

HI, Just put in a search for tire monitor and your post came up. Did you have any one tell you if for sure the tire pressure monitor can't be added on? I have the technology package and am thinking about having it added on.
