Want to wheel an A6
Hello everyone, I've just bought a 2006 A6 (front wheel drive 3.2) and would like to put a larger diameter wheel on it. My preferance would be a 20x8.5, but the tire I would like to use is 27" in diameter compared the the 25.7" diameter tire that is stock. Has anybody done this or knows if going 1.3" larger in diameter can be done without problems arising. If it's just a matter of re-programming the ECM/transmission with a chip to allow it to work, I'm in!

No programming option available at the moment
After much research, it turns out you can't reprogram the 2006 A6. I'm going to use a shorter tire which is very close to the same diameter as stock and then just lower the car a little with Eibach springs. We custom build high end wheels if anyone is interested. I'm putting on a new 10 spoke with hidden lug bilts.
