To Warranty or not????
I just purchased an 09 A6 3.0T for the Wifie at the Local Charlotte Audi Dealer. The car has 76K on it and was purchased without a warranty. The history is spotless with no accidents and no major work to it other than the normal oil changes and maintenance performed. Also it had $1500.00 worth of work done to it before I got it by the dealer. It was also a local car originating out of Columbia SC.
At time of purchase we discussed an 3year/36k extended warranty to the tune of $2800.00. My thought was this is steep and maybe get a better warranty/less expensive one online. Would it be wise to get an extended warranty? If so where would be a good place to look? Thanks in advance!!

Damn man, I feel your pain. I just bought a preowned S4 a couple weeks ago and decided not to extend the warranty there on the spot. After a few days of driving around and thinking about all the possibilities I decided to go to my local Audi dealership and buy the 4yr/60k warranty for $3500. I did compare it to an extended warranty offered by my insurance company (usaa), but decided if I did have a need to use the warranty I'd rather have OEM parts installed as oppose to rebuilt or refurbished suitable subs. Thats another thing to consider if looking to get a warranty somewhere other than an Audi dealership. Good luck and congrats on the (new to you) Audi.

OK I bit the bullet and went to Audi and did the 2 year/24 month "Silver" coverage. It was a little more than I thought but Im covered! $3199.00 to be exact. I feel better about going down the road now.
