Default Water In the Spare Well

Ok so a while back I was rear ended by a parking garage wall... (ok, but honestly everything looks fine, after a wax nothing showed) the think is now when ever it rains water gets in the spare wheel well and it condenses on the carpet and causes the trunk to get wet.. I think I am going to find the leak, but has this happened to anyone else. Also how hard is it to remove the bumper completely.

I had the same problem, and my a6 was never hit, it appeared to be coming from the seams on the rear of the spare wheel well. We found it when we were fitting it for a stereo, so i just used some dynamat from the shop to cover the seams. It worked great, haven't had the water back since.

Water in the spare tire well is an Audi feature. Not many cars have a built in swimming pool! At least three of my Audi's had the same problem. It is usually a leak in the trunk lid gasket, but in one case I could not stop it so I added "spare tire drains." (Use your imagination)

Could it be clogged sunroof drains?

I was hit in my rear and I started having that problem also. I took off the bumper, had someone in the trunk, sprayed the car with water, and they located the entry point ( which was a very tiny crack behind the bumper, on the car. We got some metal glue sealed up and it works fine now.
