Weird noise after DV install

After installing a new TBB and APR R1 diverter valves I notice a strange sound at lower RPM, it goes away when I accelerate beyond a certain point, the sound lasts for seconds and happens consistently at low speeds, haven't noticed it at higher speeds.

It's hard for me to describe it, it's not high pitched or the sounds I normally hear from my turbos, I guess if I were to spell the sound it would be wooooooooooooon.

Any suggestions/input?

Oh yeah figured I'd see if anyone's steering wheel makes a rubbing squeak noise when it is turned, doesn't happen all the time but it does happen, pretty annoying.

the only thing I can see it being is smaller size leak from where the vac line connects to the diverters?

But that does not explain it only happening at lower RPM's. (at least I dont think so).

Are the APR's ajustable? If so, try ajusting them just slightly and see if that helps/makes it better.

GL!

The APR R1 DV's make that noise, especially the first production batches. Mine do it too, APR will fix that if you want to send them in.. but to me not worth it.

Sorry to jump in here, but how do you know when to replace them?

Thanks, I was hoping it was something inherent and not an issue with improper circulation.

Loss of power/boost, take them off and look into the opening if you see a tear, you need to replace. You only have a limited viewing area though since you're peering through a small hole.

I'm going to chip my car and increase power as things go out so this was a cheap, somewhat unnecessary upgrade.
