What's that noise( from the member welcome area)
I have a racing green 2000 Audi A6 4.2. I purchased it in December of 2005 with 60K miles on it. Everything is good exept This little noise near the back suspension. When I'm riding along I'll roll all the windows down and turn off the radio and heat so I can hear it. It sound like rattleling going on everytime I go over bumps or cracks in the road which means it constant while your rolling. But when I ride the break its stops. I checked the brakes for loose shims, pads and any little thing as far as checking bolts on the suspension for tightness or anything missing. NOTHING!!!! I'm thinking it could be the shocks but I'm not sure. So before I take it to Meineke or a Euro shop to get it checked I'll turn to my trusty Audi Enthusiasts for any advise or relevant experiences. Thanks in advance.

Appreciate the reply Dankhound. They're tight as can be. I thought it may be the dust shield or the heat shields but it wasn't. I don't know what to think. It sounds like something is rattling every time I go over the slightest bump. Again when I ride the brakes it doesn't rattle at all. Maybe the suspension the brakes or bearings--I don't know. I'm open to more suggestions!!
