I can operate all windwos in driver seat.Rear windows are deactivatedand the satefyswitch indicates that.I canhold down the safety switch to allow operating the windows in rear seats. But as soon as the safety switch is released, the rear windows are again deactivated. Something wrong with how I operate the safety switch or the safety switch is bad? If the latter, anybody has any idea how to fix it? Thank you very much!

It's in this way.Push it down andhold it there, the rear windows can be operate in rear seats. As soon as the safety switch is released, the rear windows cannot be operate in rear seats

 

The switch is bad. You should be able to push it once to activate the rear windows. A second push should deactivate them. The light in the switch should go on and off to verify this.

 

Oh, well, gonna to fix it later then. The rears are rearely occupied for now.

BTW, I fixed the sticky button on the gear switch with two doses of wd40

My car has the same issue. Makes me feel like a King when the have to ask for permission to put their windows down. Haha

Mine does the same thing and another guy with an A6 that I know is having the same problem. I'm going to have to buy a new switch. I'm wondering how much it's gonna be? Hopefully an easy replacement?
