What exactly is the code? Many times, it is just hose related, not the actual pump.

Anyways, visually inspect the pump and see which one looks like yours.

You don't tell us anything about your vehicle and expect answers!!!

Secondary air pump codes usually mean the vacuum hoses are kaput... replace them.
then check the combi valves finally do the pump.

Really easy replacement... But once again, make sure the pump is bad, not just simple hoses.

TTT

Has anyone had experience with pumps that aren't spec'd for their car. There seeems to be a large disparity in price for the SAPs on autopartswarehouse (link above).

Do they have different flow rates that will throw codes or is it just the mounting points? The pictures look the same but that might be stock photos.

I have not SAP on my car right now and need to put a new one on before i can sell it or inspect it. Mines an 04 A4 (b6)

or more specifically, what's the difference between
W0133-1833559 (2004 A4 pump)
and
W0133-1800569 (TT/ allroad/jetta, etc of 2000-2006 vintage)

Other than $100 obviously. That is a good reason to get the other one.

Looks like the 559 is sealed with glue and not servicable while the 569 has rivets holding it together and the connectors may be different. I can change out the connector from my bad one if needed.

I can make them work if the flow rate is the same or will not trip the code.

It sounds as if someone took the SAP off your vehicle and you want to put it back on so you can sell the car. If so why not go used from Shokan or Force Five?
