Xenon high beam shutter no workie
Noobie here. I'm on my first year with an Audi. Bought a 2006 A6 CPO wrecked it... just picked up a replacement--2006 A6 3.2 quattro.
Anyway, the left headlight high beam is not working--either on flash or switched. So I figured it has to be that the shutter is not moving. Xenon. Is this common? Will a sharp smack to the housing loosen it up? Or am I in for an adventure with torx screws, 40,000 volts and 5,000 degree hot bulbs? :) I don't think this is the "dipping" problem I am seeing in many forums. But hey, I'm a noob, so I can take it if I'm wrong. Thanks for any ideas. |
I have the same issue, but on my passenger side headlight. There was no response to this thread. Can anyone help? Has anyone disassembled their headlight assembly and repair this issue?
