Default XM radio receiver

I am trying to find a XM sat receiver for my 2004 A6. Much research has totally confused me because of part number obsolesence and other changes. I have the stock Symphony Sound System, which I read somewhere is a Blaupunkt but then I read it is Bose system. That is just for starters and may not even matter. I find factory part number 8E0 057 593A as the original XM receiver for my car. Then I find it replaced by 8E0 035 593A, or that they are the same unit. I called my local dealer to be sure and they tell me they can only guarantee that 8E0 035 593E, G, or P will work in my car but that "A" is still available but obsolete. They can't confirm "A" version will work. There is a difference if your model has NAV or TPMS which I am pretty sure wasn't available in 2004. Gave them my VIN ot be sure and still nothing comfirmed. Dealer price is about $475.00, obso model on line is less than $100.00. I would love to be sure before I spend the $100 and then have to shell out $475 for the right one. Any know with absolute certianty what will work in my car? Thanks,
James
