Default Yellow Brake Symbol on Driver Information System

I recently changed the brake pads on my car after a yellow "Brake Pads Worn" symbol came up on the Driver Information System. Since then, the light has not gone away. I have checked to see if the sensors in the brake pads are properly connected and they are. Since I know the pads are new, is there any way to get rid of the annoying beep upon changing gear as well as the symbol? Thanks.

The beeping was a Service Interval that had not been reset. All that remains is the yellow symbol.

Read about 2/3's of the way down that page, and it'll tell you where the 'reset' button is for the instrument cluster. that should get rid of the symbol

What I'm trying to get rid of is just the icon on the top of the screen. I find myself using the instantaneous mpg screen very often and I still want it to be there. Any ideas?

Try joining the connectors together on the pad connector. If the light goes out you might just have a duff pad.
