Sun Roof Noise
 

Pickup up new 2014 A7 Prestige on 7-5-2013. Sun roof noise and vibration is unacceptable. Have not checked with dealer about this yet. Anyone else have this problem? BTW, so far this is the only problem I've noticed.

My 2012 Prestige A7 is very quiet. No problem with sun roof. Halp

Roof Clicking/Squeaking
 

Have Q5 bought used from very reputable high end used car dealer. Car is 2012 with ~45,000 miles. Noise started a few months ago. Dealer where bought car lubed with metal/plastic lube and rubber vinyl lube; noise went away for ~a week. Took in again, they found tech bulletin and did work for $200. Noise stopped for most part but still could hear what sounded like 2 pieces of rubber rubbing together but after few weeks, noise is back but not to degree was in beginning. Dealer gave me lubricants to use but would rather not have to use on $50,000 automobile. Saw post earlier in which guy living in Vancouver has this completely fixed but had no way to contact to see what dealer there did. As Click and Clack used to say, just turn up the radio! 😊🙄. Since I play the radio all the time when I'm in the car, I don't notice the noise and my hearing's not the greatest. However, when radio is off, noise is very bothersome. May try to take to Audi dealer next. Don't really want to spend larger sum of money to repair but may have to. Sorry couldn't be of more help.

Was the car touched by dealer? My friend from DSRLeasing had this problem although in entirely different car and it ended up being dealer's fault after doing some fixes.

husky02: I did not made clear that sunroof noise was only apparent when open. Car had not been to dealer, but thanks for reply. Academic now since I've had a 2016 Prestige for almost two years with the only problem one of tire noise which I've taken care of by replacing one tire.
