1997 A8 Clear corners, new springs
Alright, I know they exist... (proof) but I can't find them ANYWHERE! Does anyone know how to locate a set of these things?
Also, I'd like a blatantly honest opinion about installing new springs such as these. I just had 4 of the 6 front control arms replaced, and I'm already starting to double-think whether or not new springs are something that I really want. Still, I'd like to cut down on pitch and dive a bit. What are the plusses and minusses of installing such springs?
By the way, I have to say that so far I'm really quite impressed by this site.

I just purchased a Euro spec 96 A8 quattro and it has the clear corners on it. As far as I know, they are the stock units. The previous owner wasn't the type to mod the car in any way. You might want to keep an eye on eBay UK or DE.

the clear corners are only available on the European A8s...the US spec cars came with amber ones. they turn up once in a blue moon on ebay.co.uk and ebay.de or i think eurosport.com or something gets them once in a while...VERY expensive tho...$150+ for the pair! as for springs, the Eibachs are pretty much the only spring most 8 owners go with. they usually pair them with Bilstein shocks or they go with H&R coilovers for an adjustable/lower but stiffer setup.
