1997 Audi A8 Transmission SEARCH
 

Hello, looking for a replacement transmission for my 1997 A8 Quattro. I understand that the year had various codes DPZ, DSM, and DTE. Mine is a DPZ. I am interested if any 1997-2003 A8 or S8 transmission can be fitted and work. The shifter setup is not tiptronic and the later transmissions are setup for tip, but I don't need that feature so long as the transmission works with the existing linkage. Thanks in advance for any assistance on this.

If you go with a different coded trans, you'll need to make sure you get the DPZ coded TCM. It's much easier to stick with the same coded transmission if you can. That way you're sure it will bolt up and the electrics will match.
