What do you mean by Cluster?

I too have a 2000 A8 D2. I've got the Owner's manual in English. It gives a complete listing of all the fuses, but it doesn't use the word cluster. Can you be more specific? What do you mean by "Cluster"?

The fuse for the instrument cluster is in the fuse box in the front passenger footwell. It is fuse No. 1 in the YELLOW fuse carrier. This fuse also serves the "Bulb Monitor, beam range control, trip computer, parking aid, and multi-function steering wheel."

The fuse for instrument illumination is in the same fuse box, but it is fuse No. 3 in the RED fuse carrier. This fuse also serves the "front cigarette lighter, glove compartment, rear ashtrays, air conditioner controls, telephone, license plate lights, tail lights in the rear lid, and the fog light relay."

Let me know if this helps.

I forgot to mention that YELLOW fuse carrier Fuse No. 1 is a 15 amp fuse, and RED fuse carrier Fuse No. 3 is a 5 amp fuse.

PsYka: Did pulling the fuse reset the cluster? If so, which fuse did the trick?

They where the right fuses etc but nothing changed !

Try disconnecting the battery. Leave it disconnected for at least 15 seconds.

Hello !

I finaly got a new Cluster from a Friend that has a Audi A8 in parts ! But now i will need to get it reinitialized with the car at audi :(

As after connecting the new cluster the car started and after 1 second went off !

The orange light with a key and a car is flashing on the dash so i presume i need to check with audi :(
