anyone have any advice/ experience installing a double DIN unit? anyone make an install kit and harness? thx

Regular Double DIN is not a direct fit for the D2, as far as I understand. A lot of owners have gone to the RNSE units like in this guy's sig pic:

They're available on Ebay from time to time...other sources? ..not sure.

Don't know about install, but a forum search of this and other forums should have info.

If you have nav, it works through your Bose Symphony radio...Even a Symphony 2 radio is not compatible it and you'll lose nav with it, but it'll fit the hole.

That picture looks nice.

I don't think I have the guts to mess with that damn radio for a nav though. I'll just stick with my garmin.

I have an OEM radio "cage" from a facelift car for sale. This would allow you to do the cutting work on the bench your car stays intact.
