2004 A8 D3 Glow plug light
 

Hello everyone

can anyone tell me why my glow plug light comes on and flashes,i have had it to the dealer who read the memory,it said there was a pressure problem but this was checked and were perfect,the car goes into a limp mode but if the car is stopped and re started the car is fine ???

Any ideas

my car is a 2004 3.0 tdi

In the end i had to book my car into a main dealer,it was there for a week being diagnosed,in the end it was found that the ecu which drives the turbo had an intermitant electrical fault,the bad news was on the 04 and 05 model cars the ecu is part of the turbo,so i had to have the whole turbo replaced,dianostics,new turbo,one small sensor and the oil and filter changed cost me £1976.00
Was well pleased as you would expect,especially when i had only owned it for one month,i guess thats what you get when you buy from a specialist and not a main dealer,warranty would not cover it,audi said if i had bought from a main dealer it would have been covered
