2004 A8L Are they all wired for Sirius Radio
 

Greetings all, I purchased the module and when I went to install it I cannot find the wires to plug it in. I downloaded the instructions and they say they are supposed to be in the top left corner near the NAV DVD. There doesnt seem to be anything not plugged in. Is there anyway to know if it was pre-wired?

You couldn't install it even if you wanted to, the dealer has to program the unit to recognize it then do a little wiring of their own to get the stock modules to work. But the wiring bundle should be behind the nav unit somewhere, its usually taped up and tucked away in a crevice.

well if you have the vag com then you should be able to install it without a problem. Just locate the wire bundle and get to work.

Thats the problem. I cant locate the bundle. I am asking if they are all pre-wired. If they are, I will remove the bracket to hunt deaper. Maybe the wires got pushed down where I cant see them.

They are there, all A8's are pre wired.

I have a 2004 a8 early production 12/03 and have searched for the wires.Removed panels and dvd and nothing is there. Can it have a different location or is it not prewired .

No it should have them there, unless you have some type of experimental model or something.

Experimental or not the wires according to some pictures are not there,does it make a difference if its a canadian model . I brought the car to the stealership and they said it is not available? My owners manual and MMI unit show the option, but I just can't find them
