2004 Differential fluid question
May sound like a dumb question, but instead of assuming, I figured I'd ask:
If I want to change the fluids for all drive-train differentials, what am I looking at (i.e., which components)? In my Mitsubishi Evolution 8 it's as simple as changing the clutch, transfer case, and rear diff fluids. I figure the Audi should be similar, apart from the automatic transmission, for which I'll be requesting that my dealer perform the TSB (37 07 07). l8r) |
Just about the same, at the rear of the transmission is where the torsen differential sits which uses a synthetic Castrol 75-90W gear oil, as well as the rear diff. Both fill holes should be a simple 3/4 square hole towards the top, fill until they start to spill out and you're done.

Sweet, thanks.
