4.2 A8 cam position sensor code
 

I have recently bought a 1998 A8 4.2 Quattro. I have a check engine light with a code 1392, and 0432. The 1392 says the cam position sensor needs to be checked and the 0432 says the main Cat. bank 2 efficiancy below threshold. I've checked the cam position sensor and found it has a good ground, the correct power supply, and is sending out a signal. I've checked the wiring between the sensor and the ECM and it all checks good. This sensor seems pretty simple, could it be failing intermittently??? Has anyone ever seen this problem[/size]?
