97 a8 starts then dies

I have a 97 a-8 have went through everything with this car, replaced fuel pump, crank sensor, checked everything, and the car still starts up and dies the only thought I have is maybe an alarm system but the 97 didn't have and imobilizer I think anyway it does have a alarm sticker on the rear window 4do 010 138E,please if anybody has an idea about this let me know it has got me stumped.

thanks,Tim

So, is this a 97 or 98?
You posted exactly this same information for a 98 back in December, along with codes that indicated problems with the Idle air control valve and the MAF. Problems with either one of these would cause a car to stall...IAC at idle only, maybe....MAF problem at idle and possibly any rpm.

it's not stalling due to iac or tps or anything of that nature it shuts down cuts off not even throttle responce, starts up and dies over and over.

Your alarm system (even without an immobilizer) will disable the starter interlock relay if tampered with...SO, if the starter operates, it is NOT an alarm system problem.
If this is the same car (98? 97?) you talked about last year (unless you have 2 A8's with the same problem), you listed codes that would also indicate a GIANT vacuum leak, which would allow the car to start and then burn so lean that it couldn't keep running...this would trip MAF and probably IAC codes, EVEN if they are OK. Unmetered air entering the intake throws off both these components.
Look for a vacuum hose split, rotten, disconnected...esp the large hoses on top for PCV and ones leading to the IAC...even check to make sure the PCV valve (large round on rear top of engine) is not sucking in air on top (shouldn't be).
Good Luck!
