A8 2000 Electrical/security bug - HELP!!!!
 

Hi peoples ... need some urgent help/advice ... my A8 recently started acting up. Key off and out, the ignition would turn on, then intermittently dash lights on/off, radio on/off, alarm buzzing, and the security lock key displayed on the dash. I've tried using my alternate keys, disconnecting battery, even replaced the ignition actuator last night, no change. Soon as the battery is connected, all interior electrics come on.

The only symptom I can recall prior to this was an unusual shuddering while driving (like the engine was switched off), lasted about 15-20 seconds each time. Had the transmission checked in case, but all good there. nothing else I can think of. Car has done 190K, everything else still relatively sweet and operational.

Any help/troubleshooting advice greatly appreciated!
