A8 Heater Blend Door
 

I have a 1999 A8, which is currently blowing hot air on the driver’s side regardless of where the climate control is set. Can someone tell me where the actuator for the driver’s side heater blend door is located? Vag com shows no codes and seems to be moving all the actuators but no change in driver’s side temperature. Thanks.

Its a dual heater core on that car, so you need to get at the driver's side compartment. Its located right behind the radio, but you need to take out the center console to access it.

I would be happy if I could get the blend door to see the evaporator at all times instead of the heater core is this something that could done without tearing out the console.

You can pull the heater cores without pulling the whole panel, but i haven't messed with the blend doors before. I would look up how to get at the heater core/s first, and once thats out of the way you might be able to get at the temp blend door, but im not 100% sure about that.
The only sure way of figuring that out would be to buy a bentley manual.

any solution to this? I have the same problem!
