A8 right low beam headlight problem
I just bought a replacement D2S halogen and (with rubber gloves), removed and replaced the bulb.
It did not work. I then tried removing the left headlight lowbeam (with car running) and the bulb burst as I was disconnecting it. Suggestion: Don't try removing halogen bulbs while car is running. With the left lowbeam blown , I shut the car off and took the right halogen and put it in the left side and it worked. I then checked the fuse box as there are seperate fuses for left lowbeam and right lowbeam. Both fuses are not blown. Which leads me to think that a wiring problem exists in the right headlight assemblt or wiring. Has anyone had this problem and how was it resolved? I did have an instance when the light was not working and took it to my mechanic and it was working when I got there. How do I troubleshoot the problem from here. Thanks in advance if anyone has any suggestions. |
