MAKE the shop SHOW YOU that yur rotors are either warped or below the wear limit. If they won't, STOP TAKING YOUR CAR THERE. Because they obviously see you as a money-bag$ who will fund their vacation plans for next year.

As I said, above, rotors wear. Eventually, yes, it WILL make perfect sense to replace them when the pads get replaced. When they are worn or warped is when that replacement becomes necessary. Not before, unless you like spending money just for the sake of spending it.
