Hey,

After much debate and really 'in need of a vacation' I decided to enter my team into CannonBall Race.
I filled out my paper work today and waiting for a reply. They got about 26 spaces left and I'm pretty sure that I'll get in since there are NO Audi's in it and not to often someone would take their A8L into a race. I am European and I know how the roads and people are there and I guess that was one of themain reasons why I decided to join in.

There are a lot of great people and great teams in this and I hope that my team will be given a chance.
It will be me and my passenger ( he was notified today about 20 min ago ) and a whoooooole lot of pic's and video's daily updated via sat. I will try to see what I can do about 'Live feed' but not sure about that or the costs. Anyhow, this is news worthy of sharing and I may or may not finish in the first place but the experience would be worth it.

My car is tuned and ready. Let me know what you think.

PIMP!!! You should get a camera mount ad VIDEO your trek! If you need advice on which mount and/or camera, send a PM to redgoat. He did somethiong similiar when he drove down to Washington state from Alaska.

Now all I have to do is make sure my paperwork is up to date and my second driver will be available.

So everything looks good, so far...

I got a Sony MiniDV Camc which is really really good so the quality of the video will be terriffic. Also, ordered Pir ROSSOs (need new tires)

 

As a fellow A8L owner (2006) i know you will have a blast! When you get back im sure you will have some great footage. If you wouldnt mind, the people on car-parazzi.com would much appreciate it if you would post some of the videos/pictures you get from the rally. Have Fun!
