The Arm Rest is stuck in the upright position 2001 A8L
 

The driver's side armrest is stuck in the upright position that we have. It moves back and forth very little, maybe an inch and a half to 2 inches. Is there a release button or something that can be pressed to allow the armrest to come down?

I think you might have a coin stuck in there. Your not supposed to put change in there for that reason. I got mine stuck on my A4 not too long ago because my dumb ass room mate put his change in there. You just have to fish out the coin with a screw driver or small pick.

Our 2003 A8L had the same problem, but we never put change in the armrest. I couldn't fix it so I took it to the dealer and it was a quick fix for them and they didn't charge me anything.
