Audi A8

My 1997 A8 3.7 has a water leak coming from the dashboard only when it rains. I have told that there is a rubber plug which is blocked. Where is this plug.

I am having the same issue. I have a 2001 A8. Do you know what kind of plug it is that I should replace.

i have a 2000 A8 and i had floods in my car for a long while and thought it was from the rain. It turned out to be the ac condensate drain that was plugged. to access it you have to remove the passengers side carpeting and reach behind the console for the drain hose and unplug it....be careful as there is an electrical box under the carpeting and you dont want to get that wet..
Hope this helped

No thoughts on what caused this, but...
To close it manually...look for the little crank attached inside your fuse box. pop the cover off the sealing control box and look for the slot in motor to insert crank...if this or suitable makeshift tool (wrench, screwdriver) will not hand crank it closed, the problem is mechanical.
