Auto wipers go crazy - not steady
 

My 2007 A8 wipers do their own thing in the rain....for example light intermittent rain they will start off slow then get erratic and go to double speed even though the rain hasn't changed and my speed is constant. I cant select a normal intermittent wipe either...it's all random! Any thoughts?

Rain/light sensor behind mirror probably.

Any codes showing with VCDS ?

Edit: Or maybe the wiper skipping over the sensor.... :D

Hi, no, VCDS clear - wipers clearing sensor okay...cant get a steady auto wiper function...seem to get faster until running a double speed.
