My MMI screen is not raising up and down due to the broken gears on the assembly. Has anyone purchased the brass gears for repairing the assembly? What would be the pros and cons to brass, stainless steel, and polyoxymethylene gears?

 

The stainless should last longer than brass or Delrin if properly lubricated.

 

Does anyone know the procedure to taking the mmi apart and also putting it back together.
