Default Can't seem to program my homelink

I have followed the directions in the manual, but can't get it to work. My garage doors are rolling code. Once I turn on the "teach" button on my garage door mechanism...then do I hold down the desired button in the cockpit ..twice? a long hold twice? a long & short hold twice.....

Help

Default RE: Can't seem to program my homelink

Try this as I had to do it this way to get the homelink to work on my 2001 Audi A6 4.2 when I had it. I had pointed the hand held remote at the homelink buttons as if I was trying to teach the homelink buttons directly from the remote. After you complete that step for each of the homelink buttons that you want to have open your garage then go and push the learn button on the garage opening unit. Then within 30 seconds usually you have to go back to the car and hold down the homelink button until you see the little red light start to flash rapidly. NOTE: Keep holding down the homelink button continuously until the red light on the homelink starts to blink rapidly.

The little red light I'm referring to is right near the buttons on the homelink system in the car. Good luck.
