Cluster turns off and car dies.
 

I was driving my 2000 A8 and my cluster would come on and off everything else still worked normal. When I turned the car off it wouldn't start, it would crank over then die immediately the cluster still did not come on, it was fairly hot out that may have something to do with it. After checking fuses and jumping the battery and letting it sit it finally turned over. Any ideas?
