Can anyone describe what "Akoya Silver" looks like? I ma looking at one - online, but I have not seen one in the flesh. Looks like a light charcoal online....somewhat like a quartz gray...am I on the right track or no?

Both salesman have told me that the color doesn't quite photograph true.

I own a 2005 A8L, which I think has the color you are asking about. The name is confusing and tells you nothing,lol. In my opinion this is the MOST beautiful color that Audi has ever put on a car and I never get tired of admiring the good looks of my car and thinking, yes, it's too expensive, but it's WORTH IT.

The color is a beautiful medium shade of silvery blue, with almost a hint of lavender. Now don't let that scare you, it's really blue, it's just that I'm an artist and see nuances of color that other people probably don't.

You can't go wrong with this color - it's beautiful, really.

 

From a non artist point of view lol, i see it as a deep silver, more of a neutral calmish color. The only other color I wanted on my car more than silver. Or a black that wouldn't get dirty

 

Well this thread is a year old, so i think he already bought his vehicle LOL, but i agree with the color choice and welcome to the forums!

 

Im gettin a black or oyster gray one sometime next year, i can't wait!
