Confused . What gearbox oil for 2006 a8 3.0tdi
 

I need to change the gearbox oil and filter in my 2006 A8 3.0tdi , one garage says that it must be the blue ATF at £30 per litre ( 9 litres ) , another said that it would cost £140 for the 9 litres . What is the correct ATF and is the box fluid sensitive , thanks , Graham . :confused:

The Automatic transmissions require the Synthetic stuff. It is not cheap but it sure as hell shouldn't cost $45 a liter. Unless it's in the $20 Audi bottle. One of this site's sponsors sells the Ravenol equivalent for less than half that price. Audi Parts - Vw Parts - Audi Parts Vw Parts Kit Company - Blauparts® . However it's US based. Check their site and then look for the same stuff available across the pond at different vendors.
