hey guys,

Today I noticed that my A8L was making a noise sounded like "rrrrrrrrr". Please feel fre to make your own sound effect.

The weird thing is that 1.) it doesnt do it all the time and 2.) it only does it on the way down. When I put the window up its perfectly quiet.

By the way the noise is really low but you dont want this type of car making any noises.

I currently have my Audi in the shop for the same thing. If its under warranty they will replace it for free, if not than its an $700 job with parts and labor.

4EO-837-461-B REGULATOR is the part number for my 2004 Audi A8 L.

 

Wow for that price I'd rather hand crank my window! $700 for a window regulator gimme a break

 

Thats what I thought but mine was still under warranty. They gave me a loaner SUV (Q5) for the day and over the night. They said it took them longer than expected to do the repair. Its a nice SUV but I rather have my A8.

 

I guess that turns the rrrrrrrrr sound into: rrrrrrrrrripoffff!!!
