Has anyone used EBC Yellowstuff pads?
Looks like they should be in the same range as HP+ pads, so I wanted to see if anyone had feedback in regards to noise, dusting, and bite for the EBC Yellowstuff pads.

All stock baby!
I haven't but I just had all 4 brakes (new rotors and pads) done at the beginning of this summer with all stock rotors and pads and my A8 stops VERY WELL! Less dust than HP+ for sure, and lots of bite. Autocrossing and Road Racing has been awesome with stock parts.
I have to hand it to Audi. Everything has been just great!:) BTW, I love your handle -- Ludikraut, that's cool.

Good to know. Where have you tracked the car? Have you had it out to the Autobahn CC yet?

Very nice. To date I've only tracked my Evo and the Autobahn full or south course are among my favorite tracks. Not sure if I'll track the A8. What brake fluid and brake lines did you run?
The closest I've come to 'tracking' an A8 was Hertz rental that I spanked up and down Hwy 1 north of SF ... which is what ultimately led me to buy one. For a large car, the A8L is very light on its feet and fairly well balanced right out of the box. l8r) |
In February I just had the brakes bled and new rotors and pads put on -- ALL STOCK!:)
That's what I'm talking about. I just can't believe it. I flushed and replaced the brake fluid on my CTS-V and ran that at Autobahn for several 20-30 min sessions and it never stopped like my A8L with the standard yellow brake fluid. AMAZING. I just love this car!:D |
