Help my a8 is loosing oil
Can anyone help!! Jus had an oil change, and the dip stick is already down to bare min. Mabye he didn't fill it up all the way but are there any other ways this could happen?? There is no mess on the ground but the warning light did come on. It's an 07 a8 with 63000 ks !, there is a possibility that he forgot to put enough oil in I suppose.

I'd start with the assumption that they dint top it up/off after the restart. The filter'll hold about as much as what you describa as missing. Top it off, yourself, and monitor it for a while. Maybe have someone stand behind at check your tailpipe, when you start it, cold. See if maybe it's going out the ***-end, which would suggest excessive ring wear as a possible answer.

Must have not topped up the oil.
An 07 shouldn't burn that much!
Fill it yourself as AWDaholic said and keep an eye on it.
ps - Get your money or at least part of back from the shop that did it if you fill and everything is OK

Thanks! I did fill it myself and it seems to be fine. I called the shop to let them know they forgot to fill it. He says he was very sorry, but he's a good guy and there's not too many other shops around here to take my car.
