hello everyone my dads a8 4.0tdi 2005 the problem is when i press the check button on the dashboard it shows 3 red big simbols and some yellow simbols those the red mean there is a problem another thing they never come up while driving only if i press check button please help

another thing is i would like to know on the screen in the dashboard cluster i can only see mpg can i change it in a way i can see how much litres for 100km please i would like some help


just updated it to 55.7.0 no good dont recomend it you loose lot of things

While the car is stationary, ignition switch on (running or not), the test button is simply testing that the warning lights work...not the systems. With ignition off, it will light up part of the display for few seconds...clock and odometer. While driving, the button will call up more info for a genuine warning light that's on (if any).

Mpg or Lpk readout probably depends on the country the car was sold for. Only the menu button would give you that option if available. The choice was not available in past U.S. models.

Do you have the original owner's manual? They can be purchased...Bentley Publishers sells them for U.S. models. I'm sure they're available for other countries from other sources.

thanks my friend for your answer the car is from the united kingdow i have the owner manual i really would love to see how much kph/100 but looks like its not possible , anothe problem is i updated the firware to the latest and now i lost battery level and instrument cluster from the systems menu the update is a waste of time it wont add anything to the mmi it will remove i think its bad .


anyway audi dealer is giving so much trouble first my dad made them replace all 4 new rims then the chromes now the tyres on the right side of the car was wearing badly on the outside and the tyres on the other side where brand new they said it was normal wear my dad went there made them put 2 new dunlops maxx gt lol

the car is a beast it lacks on thinghs like not showing the digital speed like some other audis do thank you for your answer my friend
