Leaking inside the car, help!~!

Ive got a ton of water leaking under my dash on both the drivers and passenger side. My indie mechanic cleared out the evaporator drain hoses on either side and the leak continues, mainly when I run the AC.

He explained that there is some kind of box or container inside the dash which collects water and drains it, but commonly on the Audi's the box cracks due to heat or age and leaks. The fix is to remove the entire dash to get to the box and replace it, he estimates a full 2 days labor to do this.

Anyone have any suggestions?

yeah, its a common problem. your evap drains are clogged, what did your mechanic do to unclog them? Did he just take off the orange tubes and wash them out or did he use an air compressor to blow air into the line?

He took off and manually cleaned the ones under the car, otherwise he blew them out with compressed air. He is certain he got them all clean and says that to go further he would have to look behind the dash. He's serviced my cars before for years so I trust him. He said it was basically better to leave it alone than to pay to have all that labor to get behind the dash.
