Looking For New Wood Trim For My A8
 

Hi all,

I'm new here and would first like to say hello to everyone. I am going to be purchasing my first Audi A8 tomorrow and I look forward to learning tons from everyone here, as you all seem to know what you're talking about!

The first thing I want to do is change all the wood trim in the car. I don't like the current color and have been looking for a website that sells them specifically for A8's. I found carID.com but they don't have any for A8s. Could anyone point me in the right direction? I appreciate it.

Don't know a source....could be big $$ when you find one, because it may be OEM Audi only. Hope I'm wrong...aftermarket supplier could be less $$.

But, curious...what year, exterior/interior color and wood type does the car have now?
I have seen some combos I like less than others.

Your best bet is to remove the trim and have it painted. I saw on another forum a guy who removed the whole trim and painted it piano black. Looked much much better than any trim that you can buy or that comes stock. Much cheaper too. Not sure on how to get the trim off and if it is easy or not. I am looking to do that mod as well.

silverd2 - It's an 06, arctic white with sand interior. The wood trim, I'm not too sure what the color is called, but I believe it's the lightest one they have comparing to others I've seen.

Brozee - Thanks, I actually came across that thread while looking around, and I may do that if I can't find a reasonably priced kit.

I'm not sure if it's a kit or simply taking your panels to a shop to be painted or sprayed, or a simple DIY paint and wait.

I've got a complete set of valvona colored trim for an A8L. Let me know if you're interested and we can work something out
