Hey! Guys, I did a Google search and came across this forum.
I'm currently in the market for an Audi a8 l. Base on my search price and mileage varies alot and I would like to know for $15,000-$16,000 what would be the average mileage I should expect?. I've found a few 04 that have been (to me)well maintained.

Thanks for any input...

75,000 to 150,000 depending on year.

Watch out for good prices on one requiring a timing belt service.
That is about $2,500 if you go the dealer route.
Less at an independent.

Thanks jakematic.

I'm looking mostly at 04-05.

I would strongly advise you to consider an 06+.

I've thought about the 06 model, but like the look of the 04-05 more.

That's fine and dandy if you prefer the older looking car, however, keep in mind that the 06 has an improved MMI, came standard with the keyless starting, among a couple other, small improvements.

If you do want an 04/05, I think the 05 is a no-brainer to avoid the first year problems (just one of which is the coolant line over the oil filter on the 04).

Hi, welcome.

Here's a link to my advice to another guy looking for a D3 A8L.

I agree, the PFL (Pre-FaceLift) front end is more "to my taste" than the happy guppy looking "FL" front end, but I love them both. As I said in the above linked post, the A8 will spoil you; you'll never settle for another car!

What color(s) are you leaning toward? I hated beige cars before we got the Audi, but Audi's "Platinum Beige Pearl Effect" changed my mind. It is unusually changeable in different light conditions. Sage green is another rare color I love. Northern Blue Pearl is my real favorite, though.

Keep us posted, and good luck!

The 06 is also a nice model, with all the improvement I'm sure its a better car; maybe it will grow on me in a year or two (once I get my foot wet owning a luxury sedan of this caliber).

As for colors; I'm leaning towards white, grey or silver. I've seen n test driven(first a8L ever driven) an 04, 117.000 miles white with tan interior going for $16k, (man! These cars ride lovely) that's what set my mind on getting the a8 model...
Sorry for the extra talking, but yea I like those colors in that order.
